Training Modules 

1. Sources of RAW and its classification in Russia and some other countries with well-developed nuclear power industry, as well as the IAEA Sources of RAW and its classification in Russia and some other countries with well-developed nuclear power industry, as well as the IAEA. 

2. International requirements on industrial involvement and quality management. Overview of the AEA documents containing the basic principles of industrial involvement, recommendations for the development and implementation of quality management programmes. A description of best practices. The ISO 2000 standards. The integrated management systems. 

3. Quality management in ROSATOM Principles of safety for nuclear facilities. Main types of NPPs and their equipment. The stages of NPP construction. The need for goods works and services. The composition and consistency of supply process. Life cycle of products supplied to NPP. The ROSATOM organizational activities for quality management. Development and implementation of the quality management system at NPPs under construction. 

4. Localization of the supply of goods, works, and services. Cooperation in the process of phased construction of NPP units. Planning, research, industrial and construction organizations of the countries-buyers. The ROSATOM Unified Industrial Procurement Standard (UIPS).

 5. Industrial involvement and procurement procedures. Main principles of design, manufacturing and supply of equipment. Interaction between the customer and the supplier during the procurement procedures. 

6. Technical tour at JSC “Atomenergoremont”. Methods and practices used by JSC “Atomenergoproekt” for industrial involvement. Methodology for selection and approval of the list of subcontractors. Adaptability to the requirements of the Russian legislation concerning NPP construction with the help of subcontractors. Practical experience of JSC “Atomenergoproekt” in the involvement of local industry (for example the construction of the Kudankulam NPP, Novovoronezh NPP, Novovoronezh NPP-2, and NPP “Akkuyu”). 

7. Technical tour at JSC “Atomenergoremont”. Maintenance, repair and reconstruction of NPP. Maintenance, repair and reconstruction of NPP. The determination of the extent of repair work, arranging delivery of spare parts and equipment, planning and execution of repairs. Training of technical staff. Licensing of works and production activities in the nuclear industry and the energy sector. 

8. Technical regulation in the nuclear industry and practical examples of application of normative documents. Legislation on technical regulation in the framework of international agreements. The legislation of the Russian Federation on technical regulation and use of atomic energy. Stages of NPP construction. Mechanisms to ensure the quality of goods, works, and services during the procurement procedures. Initial technical requirements. Current control of the supply agreement execution. Quality control of goods (equipment) in the process of manufacturing. Acceptance of goods and equipment. The types of input controls. The conformity assessment and the inconsistencies management. Final examination, 36h of training (including 6h of practice)
