A Leading International Nuclear Education Centre
Rosatom Technical Academy (Rosatom Tech) is a multifunctional education and expertise centre combining continuing professional education, international cooperation and competence development for Russian and international nuclear programmes.
Rosatom Tech supports the development of national nuclear infrastructure in partner countries, contributes to personnel training for nuclear power plants constructed by ROSATOM abroad, and implements international education and training programmes jointly with the IAEA and other specialised organisations.
A key area of Rosatom Tech’s international activities is the transfer of nuclear education and expertise. Rosatom Tech delivers Train-the-Trainers programmes, international schools, specialised training courses, scientific visits and internships for managers, instructors, university faculty and nuclear professionals from partner countries.
Rosatom Tech also develops personnel training systems for international NPP projects, including training and methodological materials, instructor training, theoretical, practical and simulator training, as well as support for the development of national training centres.
Since 2011, approximately 5,000 specialists from 95 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America have participated in programmes implemented in cooperation with the IAEA.

International Reach and Expertise
Rosatom Tech is a recognised centre of expertise in nuclear education and human resource development. Its international activities combine personnel training for nuclear power projects, support for national nuclear infrastructure, cooperation with the IAEA, and the transfer of educational methodologies and expertise to partner countries.
The Rosatom Tech Development Programme for 2025–2030 focuses on expanding practice-oriented training, digital learning solutions and competencies for emerging areas of nuclear technology, including small modular reactors, two-component nuclear power, nuclear medicine and other advanced fields.
History
The Central Institute for Continuous Education and Training (CICE&T) established the International Centre for Nuclear Infrastructure Personnel Training. This marked the beginning of a systematic approach to training specialists from countries developing their national nuclear infrastructure and expanding cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and international educational and scientific organisations.
During the 55th session of the IAEA General Conference in Vienna, Practical Arrangements were signed between the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the Central Institute for Continuous Education and Training (CICE&T) and Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The cooperation focused on joint initiatives in training, nuclear infrastructure development and capacity building in countries embarking on nuclear power programmes.
During the 63rd session of the IAEA General Conference in Vienna, Rosatom Tech was designated an IAEA Collaborating Centre in the areas of nuclear knowledge management and human resource development for nuclear energy and nuclear security.
On the sidelines of the 64th IAEA General Conference, the scope of cooperation within the IAEA Collaborating Centre was expanded to include Nuclear Sciences and Applications, covering non-power applications of nuclear and radiation technologies.
During the 65th session of the IAEA General Conference, Rosatom Tech signed Practical Arrangements with the IAEA Department of Safeguards, further expanding cooperation with the Agency.
