Training Modules 

1. Nuclear legislation related to siting: international regulations and Russian standards. Siting criteria for NPP construction. Siting phases related to NPP construction. Selection of probable sites and evaluation of their suitability for NPP construction and operation. Regulatory documentation used for selection of site for NPP construction.

 2. Licensing aspects of activities related to selection of sites for NPP allocation and construction. Basic principles of State safety regulation when utilizing nuclear energy at NPPs. Licensing procedures common for all kinds of activities. Specific features of licensing related to siting activities for NPP allocation and construction. License formalization. Compliance monitoring of issued licenses. 

3. Existing experience of sites feasibility study for NPP construction in the framework of international and Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation projects. Site evaluation concept in Russia and abroad. Basic principles and approaches to implementation. Examples of international projects of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation and selection of related sites for NPP construction. Examples of Russian projects of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation and selection of related sites for NPP construction. Interaction experience with regulators of RF and countries allocating NPPs in their territory. Differences and similarities of international and Russian projects related to siting for NPP construction. 

4. Work with the public and the economics Social and economic aspects of siting. Social and economic environment of future NPP in the siting phase. Economic specific features of siting for NPP construction. 72h of training (including 2h of practice).
