Training Modules Basic principles of nuclear fuel cycle from nuclear physics to waste management and protection against unauthorized proliferation Provides understanding of nuclear fuel cycle and waste management from the view point of material properties related to non-proliferation Effect of radiation, safety and radiation protection Provides understanding of radiation effects, radioecological safety, environmental monitoring, international and Russian standards National and International Safeguards and Accounting Standards Provides understanding of standards from the view point of safety, security and safeguards. Threat assessment Provides understanding of basic concepts and relationships between protection features and threat . Physical protection systems design and evaluation Provides understanding of infrastructure and procedures for detection and response to incidents involving nuclear and other radioactive materials Physical protection technologies and equipment Provides understanding of technology and equipment for detection and response to incidents involving nuclear and other radioactive materials Radioactive waste management Provides understanding of spent fuel and nuclear waste treatment. Measurement methods in material control and accounting system Provides understanding of principles and applications of non-destructive methods. Use of non-destructive and destructive analysis methods for MC&A Provides an experience with simulation of principles and applications of non-destructive methods Statistical analysis of inventory difference in MC&A Provides understanding of advanced methods in accounting nuclear materials Final test 100 h total (79 h of lectures + 21 h of hands-on sessions)
