Specialists from the Republic of Indonesia participated in training course «Preparation for the NESA: Radioactive Waste Management Issues» held at Saint Petersburg branch of ROSATOM-CICE&T on 10-14 October, 2016. The course is a part of a series of special training courses developed to support the Republic of Indonesia in its Nuclear Energy System Assessment (NESA). The purpose of the course was to provide participants the information about nuclear waste management system implemented in Russian Federation and about its key performance indicators.
During the course representatives from National Nuclear Energy Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BATAN) Mr. Husen Zamroni (Head of Waste Management Division), Mr. Sumarbagiono (Head of Division of Waste Treatment and Disposal Technology) and Mr. Sriyana (Senior researcher) visited full-scope simulator of Floating NPP “Akademik Lomonosov” and the Petersburg Nuclear Physics Institute (PNPI) which is one of four nuclear physics centers within the National Research Center “Kurchatov Institute” (NRC “Kurchatov Institute”).
