Omae Takayoshi, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the General Director, shared updates on the world's largest experimental project in thermonuclear fusion called ITER. He emphasized the importance of international cooperation in accelerating the development and implementation of this groundbreaking project"Combining the efforts and competencies of various countries to achieve a common goal, exchange of experience and transfer of advanced technologies makes it possible to accelerate the development and implementation of this large-scale project."
Vladimir Vlasenkov, Deputy Director of the Private institution ITER Design Center, told about the Russian contribution to the implementation of the mega project to create the first international thermonuclear experimental reactor.
Alexander Romannikov, Scientific Director for Plasma technologies and controlled thermonuclear fusion of Joint Stock Company "State Scientific Center of the Russian Federation Troitsk Institute of Innovative and Thermonuclear Research" devoted his lecture to the principles of tokamak operation. At the end of the seminar, Professor of the Kurchatov Institute Boris Kuteev discussed with the participants the current state and prospects for the development of materials and sources of thermonuclear neutrons based on tokamaks and hybrid systems both in Russia and abroad.
