From 19 to 23 September 2022 the Moscow Branch of Rosatom Technical Academy hosted the IAEA Interregional Training Course on Human Resource Development for New or Expanding Nuclear Energy Programmes. The event encompassed 23 participants from 16 countries.
During the training course there was discussion of the IAEA Member State experience in HRD and connected risks and challenges, HRD plan development, international perspective and best practices in Building Competencies in the NEPIO and many other topics. The event also included group work and practical exercises using OCTOPUS software for human resource development for partner countries of the State Atomic Energy Corporation “Rosatom”. The participants evaluated human resources involved in the development of a national nuclear energy programme and developed skills to identify the necessary categories of personnel.
The event was opened by Ms. Lisa Lande, Nuclear Human Resources Development Specialist at the IAEA Division of Nuclear Power, Ms. Maria Oseeva, Head of Nuclear Infrastructure Project Office at Rusatom Overseas JSC, and Mr. Victor Mazepov, Director of Centre for International Cooperation, Rosatom Technical Academy. The practical exercises with OCTOPUS software were conducted by the All-Russian Research Institute for Nuclear Power Plants Operation (VNIIAES).
