Tomsk Polytechnic University and Rosatom Technical Academy invite you to apply for participation in the two-weeks international “Train-the-Trainers” course “Research Reactors and Cyclotrons. Application, Infrastructure, Educational Programmes”.
About the course
The course focuses on exploration of design features, operating principles, capabilities and application areas of research reactors and cyclotrons.
The main objective of the course is to assist the participants in acquiring and/or expanding their expertise in the field of non-power application of nuclear and radiation technologies, including curricula design for academic programs in this field.
Eligibility
The course is designed for professors and researchers as well as post-graduate students, final year undergraduate students and experts involved in the launching or development of nuclear curricula in universities of countries embarking on nuclear programmes seeking to develop Centres of Nuclear Science and Technology with research reactors and cyclotrons.
The number of participants is limited, the selection of candidates will be made by the organizers on competitive basis.
The main topics of the course
The training programme includes the following modules:
Practical experience of research nuclear facilities application in national nuclear industries;
The use of nuclear research facilities in research, training, medicine and industry;
The use of accelerating facilities in research, training, medicine and industry.
Practical training involves visits to operating nuclear and radiation facilities, including the nuclear research reactor of Tomsk Polytechnic University.

Fees and grants
The training is free of charge for selected candidates.
The applicants could apply for getting a grant covering the cost of flights to and from the training site and accommodation.
Upon completion of the course, participants receive a certificate and a document on advanced training.
