The online-course, organized by Rosatom Technical Academy, focuses on fundamental and practical applications of nuclear and radiation technologies in the diagnostics, treatment, prevention of diseases in humans, and the development of educational programmes to support national centers of high-tech medicine. The curriculum includes lectures on the production of radioisotopes, technologies for the synthesis of radiopharmaceuticals, the use of radiopharmaceuticals in the diagnostics and treatment of cancer, technologies for diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy of tumors. A special part of the training is devoted to the establishment of educational programmes in universities supporting the development of national centers of high-tech medicine. Participation is free of charge. All participants will receive a certificate of attendance on completion of the course.
Eligibility
The course is designed for professors, lecturers, researchers, as well as post-graduate students, final year undergraduate students and specialists, who are involved in initiation or development of nuclear curricula at universities in the countries embarking on nuclear programs, in particular, seeking to apply nuclear and radiation technologies for medical purposes.

General issues of the medical application of nuclear and radiation technologies;
The state and prospects of nuclear medicine development;
Application of nuclear and radiation technologies in radiation therapy of tumors;
Issues and technologies of radiopharmaceuticals production and usage;
Basics of ionizing radiation physics and radiobiology;
Development of educational programmes for national centers of high-tech medicine.
As part of training, participants will be asked to form groups to work on a joint project and present their results to the audience.
